REye-200

Overview

Introduction

The REye-200 is a radar water level sensor using 60GHz pulsed coherent radar technology. It can be used to monitor the level of sea, lakes, rivers and creeks, with a narrow field of view and fast measurement response time.

The sensor incorporates an ultra-low power microcontroller for data sampling, subsystem activation and overall system control, and can operate on a Lithium Thionyl battery supplying system for up to 10 years.

Modbus interface

The REye-200 is a low power RS485 Modbus radar sensor measuring distance to target, with a Modbus ASCII interface (9600 baud default, address 1) that connects to any device, and can be combined with a variety of Infinite’s products.

It is fully integrated with Itron City Edge, Cumulocity, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Losant and any platform via MQTT, using an ADS-300 NB-IoT/LTE-M or ADS-410 Itron RTU.

Enclosure and installation

The sensor is housed in a PVC enclosure rated IP67/68 for outdoor use, with an internal antenna and a 1.5 m 4-wire cable. Wiring: Green – RS485 A+, White – RS485 B, Brown – Power + (12VDC), Yellow – Ground.
