Overview

Introduction

The REye-210-BLE is a BLE radar water level sensor using 60GHz pulsed coherent radar technology. It can be used to monitor the level of sea, lakes, rivers and creeks, with a narrow field of view and fast measurement response time.

The sensor incorporates an ultra-low power microcontroller for data sampling, subsystem activation and overall system control, and can operate from its lithium battery for up to 5 years.

Bluetooth Low Energy interface

The REye-210-BLE advertises the measured level over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) every 5 minutes. Each BLE advertisement reports the measured level in millimetres (mm), together with the sensor’s Mac ID and RSSI signal quality.

BLE advertisements can be collected by a compatible BLE gateway and forwarded to MQTT or cloud platforms.

Enclosure and installation

The REye-210-BLE is housed in a PVC (IP68) enclosure for outdoor use, with quick and easy installation and fully battery-powered operation — no external power or wiring required.
